For the last 29 years SEM has been at the forefront of music production , DJing and performance – providing exceptional training and facilities for those who want to take their love of music further.
And for those learning at School of Electronic Music, many of the courses require no prior musical qualifications or knowledge and has no age limit.
The staff are all passionate industry professionals; coupled with our Official Training Centre credentials you can rest assured you’re getting cutting-edge training in an environment that educates and inspires.
The courses range from 1 day weekend taster courses, to the longer professional courses, including Music Production and Performance.

I’m working through the Online Ableton Course so far, but I’ve already done tuition at the school. What’s interesting is that it does take a moment for the penny to drop, and I like the pauses you have left in. It works very well for beginners.
I so enjoyed the course, it was great to be around women who are so into their music. I thought Lucy was a great teacher, so passionate about what she does, and teaching us the correct way. I learned so much, and will be taking it further at some point.
When I look back at my experiences from the School of Electronic Music, there is no doubt that those were some of the most crucial stages in my development. The staff don’t forget you either, which makes it all the more special. Thank you, to all the staff at SEM.
I’ve achieved many life long goals as a result of studying at SEM. I’ve released my first independent track, signed to a well-known Artist Management company and have been lucky enough to be playing at Glastonbury. It’s a dream come true.
I really enjoyed today’s lesson. I loved witnessing how you made the track sound so much better, and the idea of me doing that in the future is really exciting. Really looking forward to the coming weeks of my lessons and support from the tech guys.
I strongly feel that you can’t put a price on face to face tuition rather than books, websites, magazines and so on. The staff at SEM are some of the best in their fields and you will learn from every word they speak so take lots of notes!
